The former mayor of Saint-Étienne was convicted in December 2025, found guilty of setting up his first deputy, Gilles Artigues, by making him film in a hotel room with a young prostitute. A sextape he used to blackmail him.
The trial on appeal of the former Stéphanois edile Gaël Perdriau, accused of orchestrating a blackmail in the sextape against the one who was his first deputy, opened on Monday 8 June in Lyon.
