Anthropic Introduces First Design Tool to Claude
- On Friday, Anthropic Labs unveiled Claude Design, an experimental product enabling users to generate prototypes, slides, and marketing materials through natural language, available to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers.
- Powered by Anthropic's Claude Opus 4.7, launched Thursday, the platform automates design by analyzing a company's codebase and existing visual files to establish a shared design system ensuring consistency across projects.
- Users refine outputs through conversation, inline comments, or direct edits, then export designs as PDFs, PPTX, or HTML. Product manager Aneesh Kethini noted the tool succeeds at "enabling live design during conversations."
- While Adobe and Canva recently introduced competing AI tools, Anthropic stated Claude Design is intended to complement existing workflows, allowing users to transfer designs to Canva where assets become fully editable.
- The experimental platform is currently in research preview with access subject to weekly token limits for paid subscribers; Anthropic indicated additional integrations will be introduced in the coming weeks.
