T-wolves' Anthony Edwards needs procedure on right knee, will miss several weeks, AP source says
On Tuesday, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards will miss up to two months after undergoing arthroscopic right knee surgery, ESPN's Shams Charania reported.
Edwards previously experienced runner's knee in the same right leg last season, though this current procedure addresses a different issue than the left knee injury he suffered in the playoffs.
Following a 47-point performance on Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Edwards currently ranks second in the NBA with 33.3 points per game.
Wolves coach Chris Finch previously called the condition a "daily situation" prior to Monday's game, but Minnesota must now adjust its rotation without its primary offensive centerpiece.
The organization hopes Edwards returns sometime in December, though the timeline remains subject to how he recovers from the procedure.
Minnesota escort Anthony Edwards needs an arthroscopic procedure to relieve problems in his right knee and will miss several weeks of activity, a person with knowledge of the matter said on Tuesday.
