- Catholic Schools NSW boss Dallas McInerney allegedly sought the funding, writing he wanted to "shake down" Taylor for $10,000, while former staffer Dylan Whitelaw testified the faction aimed to populate Liberal Party branches with conservative members.
- During working hours at Catholic Schools NSW, Whitelaw and fellow member Robert Assaf completed Reformers activities, with Whitelaw agreeing it was a "running joke" that their factional work was done "on the Catholic school dime."
- A spokesperson for Taylor stated the opposition leader is not a party to the inquiry and all donations were declared according to rules, while Whitelaw added he had no personal recollection of Taylor making any financial contributions.
