Angel Aligner Upgrades Torque Ridges to "Pressure Points" in Europe

The upgraded feature replaces Torque Ridges and is designed to make torque correction more predictable and scalable for orthodontists.

  • On Thursday, Angelalign Technology Inc. announced the launch of Pressure Points in Europe, an upgraded feature replacing the company's current Torque Ridges for clear aligner treatment.
  • Engineering research enabled Angel to design Pressure Points with a simplified dimple shape, making force application more predictable than hand-made dimples previously used by orthodontists.
  • The single pressure point configuration delivers a 25% increase in tooth surface contact, allowing better control of tooth movement when using scalloped trimlines for improved torque expression.
  • Xavier Cherbavaz, General Manager and Vice President, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, said "Our commitment to research began many years ago" and continues with this upgraded solution launch.
  • Angel plans to expand Pressure Points to rotation and intrusion configurations. The company serves over 60 countries with two million cumulative cases, positioning it as a major player in orthodontic innovation.
