Jev Explained: The $7.5 Billion AI Model That Generates Decisions Instead of Text
Andreessen Horowitz led the round as TypeSafe says a third of Fortune 500 companies already use its Jev model.
On Friday, TypeSafe AI secured $870 million in funding at a $7.5 billion valuation, led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Sequoia Capital and DCVC.
The startup's Jev model, which launched on Sept. 15, achieved rapid enterprise adoption, with the company claiming a third of Fortune 500 companies are already using the technology.
Unlike traditional LLMs, Jev utilizes a transformer architecture to generate "calibrated decisions" rather than text, a process the company claims is significantly faster and uses fewer tokens.
TypeSafe co-founder Diogo Almeida told TechCrunch last month, "We have been super good at human language for four years," but computers require a different language for automation.
Founded in 2024 by former OpenAI researcher Almeida, former Meta research engineer Sasha Sheng, and engineer and entrepreneur Erik Gafni, TypeSafe focuses on task automation rather than text generation.
TypeSafe AI raises 870 million dollars with Andreessen Horowitz and a valuation of 7.5 billion a month after launching Jev. La entrada What teaches the round of TypeSafe AI: 870 M$ by Andreessen Horowitz and 7,500 M$ worth aparece primero en Merca2.
