- Today, the 15th, the Defence Minister laid the foundation stone in Puttaparthi for an Aircraft Integration & Flight Testing Centre of the Aeronautical Development Agency to accelerate the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft programme.
- The region near Puttaparthi serves as a natural extension of India's southern aerospace corridor, leveraging proximity to Kempegowda International Airport and witnessing growing industrial activity across aerospace, defence, electronics, and automobile components sectors.
- In addition to the AMCA project, the Defence Minister laid the foundation for a Naval Systems Manufacturing Facility of Bharat Dynamics Limited at Sirasapalli, while nine more companies are expected to sign Memorandums of Understanding with the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
- Grounding ceremonies occurred for the Defence Energetics Facility of Agneyastra Energetics Limited, an Ammunition & Electric Fuzes Plant of HFCL Limited, and projects for Drone City at Kurnool, reflecting the State's commitment to national defence and space missions.
- Under the Defence Policy, Andhra Pradesh identified six specialised clusters to create targeted opportunities for global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, enabling large-scale integrated manufacturing and high-technology investments across the State.
