Ander Cepas won the silver medal at the European Championships held in Helsingborg, Sweden. The Gipuzkoa native, who won a Paralympic bronze medal last year in Paris, defeated Germany's Jan Reinig 3-0 (11-6, 11-6, 11-2) and Ukraine's Lev Kats (11-5, 11-4, 8-11, 11-9), but in the fight for gold he couldn't overcome the dominant force in the S9 class, Belgium's Laurens Devos, who beat him 3-1 after a hard-fought final (11-8, 8-11, 11-13, 7-11).
