Anchorage Digital Opens Institutional Access to Frgmnt’s fUSD and sfUSD

Institutions can mint, stake and redeem the Base-based assets through Anchorage Digital without setting up separate custody for Frgmnt.

  • On Friday, Anchorage Digital partnered with Frgmnt to allow institutional clients to hold, mint, redeem, and stake fUSD and sfUSD within its custody platform.
  • Built on Base, the Frgmnt protocol issues fUSD stablecoins backed by USDC, which are deployed across onchain lending markets to generate rewards for users who stake their holdings.
  • Institutions can manage the full lifecycle without creating separate custody arrangements, joining other services like Lido and CADD already on the Anchorage Digital platform.
  • Anchorage Digital CEO Nathan McCauley said the partnership helps institutions access innovative protocols while maintaining the security standards they expect from regulated infrastructure.
  • Frgmnt currently operates in an invite-only beta with about $100,000 in total value locked but plans to open public access and raise its deposit cap on Sept 15.
