Search of Easton home leads to arrest of man in alleged 'chop shop' operation

A man is facing serious charges after police say they uncovered a chop shop operation at his Easton home during an early morning arrest.

EASTON, Pa. — Easton police say a warrant served during a carjacking investigation resulted in the arrest of Angel Vidal.

Alleged ‘chop shop’ busted in Easton, 2 stolen vehicles recovered

Easton police seized two stolen vehicles during a raid Tuesday morning at a suspected “chop shop” being operated out of a city home.Easton Police Lt. Matt Gerould said the search began shortly after 6 a.m. in the 1200 block of Lehigh Street. Easton’s Special Response Unit and Criminal Investigation Division obtained a search warrant after an investigation into activity being conducted at the residence, Gerould said.
