Alhassan Yusuf scores 3 goals, Revolution beat DC United 3
Jack Harrison set up all three goals as New England snapped a three-game winless skid and D.C. United lost its six-game unbeaten run.
Alhassan Yusuf scored three goals, propelling the New England Revolution to a 3-0 victory over the United on Wednesday and snapping a three-game winless skid.
Yusuf's performance marked the eighth regular-season hat trick in Revolution franchise history and first since Kei Kamara on Sept. 2, 2017; the Revolution improved to 10-7-3 while United had their six-game unbeaten streak snapped.
Jack Harrison provided a career-high three assists, setting up Yusuf for goals in the 23rd, 45th, and 66th minutes, with Peyton Miller also contributing to the opening goal.
Goalkeeper Matt Turner recorded three saves to secure the clean sheet for the Revolution. Defender Dor Turgeman departed late with an apparent injury, replaced by Wilson Harris, while midfielder Judah Siqueira entered in the 89th minute.
The Revolution remain unbeaten in four straight matches against the United and lead the regular season series. This victory marks their highest-scoring shutout since topping Montreal 3-0 on April 4.
