The Savushkin District Court sentenced Alexei Soldatov, creator of the Russian Internet and former deputy telecommunications minister, to two years' imprisonment, RTVI reports. The case against Soldatov and his business partners was opened in 2019 after a personal statement to the Interior Ministry by current head of Roskomnadzor Andrey Lipov, who accused the founder of the Russian Internet of 'theft of IP addresses'.
