Alex Kroes becomes Ajax's new general manager. The club's Supervisory Board nominates AZ's current director as successor to the recently resigned Edwin van der Sar. The former owner of Go Ahead Eagles will sign for three years as soon as Ajax and he can come out under the non-compete clause.
Kroes is a business economist and co-founder of the Sports Entertainment Group. Currently, he is still working at AZ as Director of International Football Strategy.
Ajax will appoint Alex Kroes as general director, the Amsterdam club reports on Wednesday. He thus becomes the successor to the departed Edwin van der Sar.
