Aldi wants to open new stores in Coventry and Warwick - and needs your help
Aldi invited the public to suggest new store locations, specifically listing Woodhouse and Nether Green in Sheffield as areas of interest, with shoppers required to submit nominations by Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The chain aims to increase its UK locations to 1,500 from more than 1,050 existing stores, investing over £370 million in new stores this year to support this long-term expansion strategy.
To nominate an area, residents can email NextNewStore@aldi.co.uk with the town name in the subject line; the company typically seeks freehold sites in towns with at least 15,000 residents.
Previous campaigns successfully identified priority areas in London, Merseyside, and Oxfordshire, leading to new store work in Liverpool, Hanworth, and Willesden following last year's consultation initiative.
Aldi plans to review all submissions and unveil its next round of priority locations later this year, using community feedback to identify high-demand areas for future store development.
