Safeway employees across Alberta voted to authorize a strike if a collective agreement can't be reached, with 87 per cent in favour in Calgary, more than 90 per cent in Edmonton and more than 95 per cent elsewhere. Bargaining with Sobeys resumes in Edmonton September 15 to 17.
