Alberta RCMP issues 1,024 tickets over Victoria Day long weekend
The Alberta RCMP was busy over the May long weekend. In a release on May 20, the organization said 122 total drivers were removed from the roads for being impaired due to drugs or alcohol. Overall, 1,204 total tickets were issued, including 26 tickets for distracted driving, 1,142 speeding tickets, and 36 tickets for seatbelt infractions.
