The Special Prosecution Office for the Fight against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) announced today that it has filed an indictment against former Albanian President and Freedom Party leader Ilir Meta, as well as his ex-wife Monika Kriemadi, for corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets.
The former president of Albania, Iljir Meta, was officially charged today with corruption, money laundering, tax evasion and hiding assets from the authorities, his lawyer said.
