The search for an object that caused a probable weather hazard to be declared in Vilnius County and Ukmergė continues in Lithuania on Saturday, says Vilmantas Vitkauskas, head of the National Crisis Management Center (NKMC).
The probable weather hazard at 10:37 a.m. has been canceled. A little earlier, on Saturday, before 10 a.m., a probable weather hazard (YELLOW) was announced.
"The tag was detected in front of the territory of Lithuania, in the territory of Belarus. I would not like to name the distances, but we had to prepare sufficiently to warn the population, which is very important, to use that time to assess the danger, because the parameters that were recorded (...) did not correspond 100 percent to the tags that are characteristic of a drone," V. Vitkauskas told reporters on Saturday.
A yellow warning regarding possible air hazards was issued in Vilnius County and Ukmergė for less than an hour on Saturday morning.
