CANADA, JUL 29 – Air Canada posted $186 million net income in Q2, down from $410 million amid a challenging environment with a 1% increase in passenger revenues, executives said.
- Air Canada reported a net income of $186 million for the second quarter, down from $410 million last year, in a "challenging environment."
- Adjusted earnings were 60 cents per diluted share, compared to 98 cents per share in the same quarter last year.
- Despite difficulties, Air Canada reaffirmed its financial guidance for the year issued in May.
- Passenger revenues reached $5.03 billion, a one percent increase from last year with 2.5 percent capacity growth.
