Cursor raised $2.3 billion to develop Composer, aiming to generate more code internally and reduce costly third-party AI reliance, the company said.

  • On Nov 13, 2025, Cursor announced a $2.3 billion funding round valuing the company at $29.3 billion, co-led by Accel and Coatue with Andreessen Horowitz, Nvidia and Google participating.
  • Composer, launched in October, was built to generate code and automate editing tasks, and Cursor said it plans for Composer to reduce reliance on Google, OpenAI and Anthropic models.
