Scientists have long struggled to get accurate predictions of solar flares, but a breakthrough in the matter has recently been made with the help of NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory. Researchers have discovered a promising new sign in the Sun's atmosphere: flickering coronal loops, also known as corona loops. The corona loop is a magnetic field fixed at the two ends that emerges from the star's body through the Sun's atmosphere.
