The Ider Hornets (35-14-1) punched their ticket to the state tournament next week with a 12-2 victory over the Skyline Vikings Thursday afternoon at Sand Mountain Park in Albertville.

Rehobeth, Kinston advance to state tournament; Opp eliminated

Both Rehobeth and Kinston softball teams won a pair of games Thursday at the South Regional Tournament to advance to state tournament play next week, while Opp lost two games and had its season come to an end.
