'The Bachelor' Is Returning in 2027 After Nearly 2 Years Off the Air
ABC says the franchise will return after a nearly two-year break, but the network has not announced the Season 30 lead.
ABC announced The Bachelor will return for its 30th season on March 21, 2027, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, marking the franchise's comeback after nearly two years off the air.
The Bachelorette season featuring Taylor Frankie Paul was canceled days before its March 22 premiere after a video of Paul throwing chairs at her ex surfaced publicly.
Disney reality chief Rob Mills told Deadline in April 2026 that "'The Bachelor' is almost a perfect format" with resilience, though he acknowledged the franchise is experiencing "growing pains."
ABC has not announced a lead for the season, though Page Six reported social media personality Mike Varshavski is being considered; the 29th season averaged a million fewer viewers than Season 28.
All episodes of The Bachelor remain available to stream on Hulu as the network aims to revitalize the series following the unplanned extended hiatus.
