Although the Socialist Party still has to ratify it, it is almost a fact that Congresswoman Tomás de Rementería will be the one holding the office of former Senator Isabel Allende. The confirmation that the Constitutional Court ruling resulted against Senator Isabel Allende, the Socialist Party had to look for a name to replace her in her seat by Valparaiso in the Upper House.
The deposed senator bowed to the native deputy of Viña del Mar, a figure she considers suitable to represent the Valparaíso region and to continue the political line she has defended in recent decades.
Deputy Tomás de Rementeria had been in Isabel Allende's replacement room all week, along with the vice president of the Arturo Barrios and Santander party.
