Adopting Tourist Tax and Waiting Estimates to Raise 300,000 Euros per Year

The City Hall of Tomar unanimously approved the final version of the tourist rate of two euros per sleep. The measure can generate about 300,000 euros per year and awaits vote in the Municipal Assembly and publication in Diário da República.

Take Will Charge Two Euros per Sleep and Wait to Fit 300,000 Euros per Year

Tax will be charged per person and per night, up to a maximum of five consecutive sleeps. Regulation was approved unanimously and now follows to the Municipal Assembly. Chamber estimates that about 150,000 sleeps per year will be subject to the charge.
