Keralam UDF Convener Adoor Prakash Hits Out at CM Satheesan, Says He Learns of Govt Decisions ‘Through Media’
Adoor Prakash says he learned key UDF decisions through the media and will raise the coordination lapse with Congress leaders.
On Thursday, October 1, 2026, Congress-led United Democratic Front convener Adoor Prakash publicly criticized Chief Minister Satheesan, stating he was being "kept in the dark about important government decisions."
Prakash expressed displeasure after Wednesday's Cabinet decision to appoint Muslim League leader Muneer as State Administrative Reforms Commission chairman and Forward Bloc leader Devarajan as the State's New Delhi representative, both Cabinet-rank positions, without informing him.
"As the chairman of the UDF, it is the Chief Minister who has to take the initiative for such meetings," Prakash told reporters, noting the coordination committee has not met since July 30.
Prakash stated he would convey his displeasure to the All India Congress Committee leadership, while AICC general secretary Venugopal declined to comment on the internal party dispute.
This outburst follows a UDF setback in bypolls held to 38 local body wards, and Prakash noted that many government posts remain held by LDF nominees despite pending decisions on matters like PM-SHRI implementation.
