Adobe’s AI-Powered PDFs Now Talk Back
- Adobe unveiled an AI-powered Object Mask in Premiere that selects and tracks people or objects, while announcing AI updates across Premiere and After Effects to speed editing tasks.
- Adobe says the feature runs on an on-device AI model, using the Object Mask to speed editing without using users' activities to train models.
- Hovering and clicking generates a mask overlay in seconds, and Adobe says masks now track objects up to 20 times faster with the Shape Mask tool's redesigned controls.
- Integration lets editors move assets directly from Adobe's creative tools into Premiere, which now imports media from Firefly Boards and includes full Adobe Stock integration, while After Effects can import SVG files from Illustrator.
- After Effects adds 3D parametric meshes for photorealistic objects formed from cubes, spheres, cylinders, cones, toris and planes, enabling varied creative shapes.
