Adam Scott, Justin Thomas move into contention at the PGA Tour's Japan event
Scott shot a 6-under 65 with two eagles and a chip-in to sit one stroke behind the leaders heading into the final round.
On Saturday, Adam Scott and Justin Thomas moved within one stroke of the lead at the Baycurrent Classic in Japan, trailing leaders Jacob Bridgeman, Michael Brennan, and Zach Bauchou, who hold 13-under 200 totals.
Scott is chasing his first PGA Tour victory since the 2020 Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles, remaining consistent despite a six-year drought and recently playing his 100th consecutive major.
Shooting a six-under 65 on Saturday, Scott reached 12 under par with a round featuring eagles on the sixth and ninth holes. "You got to be pleased with that," Scott said.
While Scott surged, compatriot Min Woo Lee tumbled 10 spots to tied 17th after shooting a one-over 72, recording bogeys on the 11th and 12th holes.
This FedEx Cup Fall event features a strong field, including 13 of the 24 players who competed in the Presidents Cup two weeks ago, marking the tour's lone stop in Asia.
