- Progressing through the ranks at Troyes, Diawara made his senior debut in November 2024 and was a key part of the team that won the French second division title.
- "A left-footed centre-back, Diawara combines technical quality, physical strength and personality," Milan said. The club called him a "highly promising talent" ready for the Rossoneri colours.
- The signing marks new coach Rúben Amorim's third summer addition, following the $84 million purchase of forward Goncalo Ramos and the acquisition of defender Mario Gila.
