- Calvelli said his mandate from Gerry Cardinale is to bring "a culture of winning and results both on and off the field" with "profound sense of urgency." He has spent a full year assessing the club's needs.
- RedBird managing partner Gerry Cardinale stated the organization will "benefit tremendously" from the appointment. Calvelli will continue serving as CEO International and Operating Partner at RedBird Development Group.
