- On Thursday, Sept. 10, NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers appeared on the "Not Just Football" podcast with Pittsburgh Steelers teammate Cam Heyward to dispute former partner Danica Patrick's public account of their 2020 breakup.
- Rodgers and the former NASCAR driver began dating in January 2018, eventually splitting in July 2020 after just over two years together. Patrick has publicly described the relationship as "deeply damaging" and attributed significant emotional distress to their time with him.
- Recalling the relationship, Rodgers claimed Patrick was "depressed" and "not fun to be around" during their time together. He also contested her story that she was "blindsided by getting left by you," disputing her characterization of him.
