A solution has been found for Valais rye bread to keep its PDO

As the only oat mill in Valais is about to close its doors, the Vaud-based industrial milling group Groupe Minoteries (GMSA) has announced an investment in Riddes with a project for a new mill, construction of which will begin in March. Thanks to it, the Valais oat bread can retain its AOP.
