The progressives are dangerous, they should not be underestimated, in their obstinate insistence and years of repetition of the explanation why singers of newly composed Serbian folk and entertainment music participate in the Slovak National Festival (SNS) in Bački Petrovac. For some citizens, it will be engraved in their consciousness as a solid argument, while others will be bored by such parrot repetition of a single well-thought-out reason.
Report from the Culture on the Margins series: "We choose music that is not heard on the radio and is not known to traditional festival visitors," says the director of the Beseda u Bigbítu festival near Tasov in the Slovak Republic. Every year, it presents new names from the foreign scene and the best from home, but it does not forget its roots.
