Two serious attacks on schools in two days, one dead and several more injured. Police patrols are necessary, but they are not enough. The state must create a system that recognizes threats before an attacker even draws a knife from a backpack.
I doubt that additional, ad hoc threats to children are a good solution. I would definitely prefer systemic changes. We should also consider installing security gates and backpack scanners in schools.
