One of the people who allegedly participated in the violence on March 9, when the Central Electoral Bureau rejected the candidacy of Călin Georgescu, is a former deputy head of the ISU Ialomița, according to Digi24 sources. He is now a lieutenant colonel in the reserves.

A former ISU officer, Florin Giorcovici, is under criminal investigation for involvement in the violent protest in front of the BEC, after candidate Calin Georgescu was excluded from the electoral race.
