At the same time as the report on abuse at the Bicske orphanage was presented, the government announced the launch of the Child Protection Reparations Fund. The program, which is funded with a budget of one billion forints, aims to provide moral and practical assistance to all those who have suffered physical, psychological or sexual abuse or neglect in state care.
The government is launching a child protection compensation fund with a budget of one billion forints on a pilot basis. The initiative was announced by Szilvia Gyurkó, State Secretary for Children's Rights and Child Protection at the Ministry of Social and Family Affairs.
