A man and a cat died in an apartment fire in Kohtla-Järve

Rescuers rescued two victims from a fire in an apartment in a nine-story building in the Järve district of Kohtla-Järve, one of whom was unable to be saved. Unfortunately, a dead cat was also found during the rescue operations.

On Wednesday, rescuers were called to a 9-story apartment building on Pärna Street in Kohtla-Järve, where smoke was coming into the reporter's apartment through the ventilation. The reporter suspected a fire in the apartment on the sixth floor. Rescuers pulled two victims out of the burning apartment, one of whom the medics were unable to save.
