A major fire near the city centre of Chambéry: some 40 people evacuated

A fire broke out on the night of Monday, April 14 to Tuesday, April 15, in an apartment near the city centre of Chambéry (Savoie). Three people were slightly injured, after inhaling smoke.

In Horb am Neckar there is again a dispute over a three-storey building in the city center. Already weeks ago the clearing of the building was arranged. Now it could become serious.

On the night of Monday 14th to Tuesday 15th April, shortly before midnight, two buildings in Chambéry's city centre were set on fire. Seven apartments, ranging from studio to T4, were partially or totally ravaged by the flames. About 40 tenants were evacuated as a matter of urgency and accommodated for a few hours in the municipal hall of Mérande. We were able to meet them.
