Cecil Nelson was a kind, soft-spoken person who had hung out for the past 15 years or so at Lingerfelt Pharmacy in downtown Elizabethton. He worked at the drug store as a pharmacy tech, but was also an ambassador for the business as he made it a point to speak to everyone who came into the store.
