Zelensky suggests US could make Putin ‘think twice’ about war in Ukraine by kidnapping Kadyrov — Novaya Gazeta Europe
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday suggested the US could intimidate Vladimir Putin into ending the war in Ukraine by capturing the Kremlin-installed Chechen strongman Ramzan Kadyrov in the same way it captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on Saturday.
According to the Ukrainian leader, who praised Maduro's kidnapping, Kadyrov's move will send a strong message to Putin. Kadyrov, on the other hand, accuses Zelenskyy of cowardice for relying on the Americans instead of acting on his own. Zelenskyy also targeted Türkiye on the same day.
Zelenski urged the United States to exert a greater pressure on Russia to force Kremlin to accept the conclusion of a peace agreement in Ukraine, suggesting, in a comment in the drama, that Americans capture the leader Ramzan Kadírov.
