A restaurant on the chain, still under construction, was set on fire in Montrabé on the night of Monday to Tuesday, 7 April. An unknown group claimed the act by a statement sent to several media "in support of the Palestinian people".
The organization claims to have acted in Montrabé "in support of the Palestinian people, and against the new strategy of expansion of the firm".
"The Unsuspecting Friars burned the McDonalds under construction in Montrabé, in support of the Palestinian people, and against the new strategy of expansion of the firm" according to the AFP.
