Giuseppe Quinz was born on 27 June 1929 in Sappada (Belluno) and ordained a priest on 29 June 1955 in Trento. After his first pastoral years as a co-operator in Rovere della Luna and in St. Jakob and Oberau in Bolzano, he was appointed pastor of St. Jakob near Bolzano in 1965. He held this position until 1998 and then remained a co-operator of the parish and continued to work there in pastoral care.
