Olympic winter sports’ top official at the IOC tells the Associated Press they are ready to move ice-rink events to Lyon from Nice for the 2030 Winter Games.
Asked to the National Assembly by the Ciottist MP Antoine Valentin, the Minister of Sports Marina Ferrari justified the transfer of the ice races from the Nice 2030 Olympics to Lyon. According to her, this choice dictated by the budgetary and technical reason will save about 100 million euros, following the refusal of the Mayor of Nice to host hockey at the Allianz Riviera.
