The Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Center (PTAC) has reported a data security incident detected in one of the information systems managed by the center.
According to an investigation to date, the incident resulted in contact information from consumer credit providers and out-of-court collection of debts, as well as from suppliers of integrated tourism services.
"Cert.lv" cybersecurity specialist Gints Mālkalnietis reveals that the cyberattacker connected to the Consumer Rights Protection Center (PTAC) system from the public internet.
