Operations at the Işıklar Mine officially ceased due to the expiration of the royalty agreement between Yeni Anadolu Madencilik and Türkiye Kömür İşletmeleri (Turkish Coal Enterprises). 1361 mine workers are now awaiting the hiring process to be initiated by the new operator.
