Seventy-six years after the death of Txomin Letamendi Murua, his story will come back to the courts. On October 6, Donostia will host a procedure of voluntary jurisdiction promoted by the Basque Observatory of Human Rights (GEBehatokia), with the agreement of the family, so that the Justice certifies the human rights violations suffered by the activist of EAJ-PNV during the Franco dictatorship.
The judge declared the two alleged torturers dead, and the trial will be held under voluntary jurisdiction. According to the NGO, the aim is to clarify the judicial truth about the death of the pro-government activist.
