The Ostrava Zoo is delighted with an unexpected new addition. After eleven long years, a baby Rothschild giraffe was born here last week. This was achieved after the rejuvenation of the giraffe breeding group. The one-week-old male is currently staying with his mother in the back of the African Animals pavilion. He is gradually getting to know the outdoor space so that he can join the other giraffes.
