The IPPA has placed the councils of Belmonte and Penamacor, in the district of Castelo Blanco, Sabugal, in the district of Guarda, Tomar and Villa Nova da Barquinha, in the district of Santarém. In the district of Portalegre, the councils of Castelo de Vide, Marvão, and Portalagere are at the highest risk of fire. The district of Faro has six councils under this alert: Monchique, Portimão, Silves, Tavira, Loulé and São Bras de Alportel.
