The death toll from the sinking of the Virgo Transport 8 ferry in the Java Sea, Indonesia, has risen to 64, while 71 people remain missing. A total of 243 people were on board the ship, which sank about two weeks ago due to adverse sea conditions.

The Indonesian Navy (AL) diving team along with a joint SAR team found four more bodies of victims of the KM Virgo Transport 8 during the 14th day of search and evacuation operations, Saturday (26/9/2026).
