Oriental Mindoro local official admits to owning house where DPWH engineer was nabbed
Bansud, Oriental Mindoro Vice Mayor Alma Mirano said she owns the house in Quezon City where Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-MIMAROPA engineer Dennis Abagon was arrested over his supposed link to an anomalous flood control project in Oriental Mindoro.
On Sunday, November 23, agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested an engineer of the Department of Public Works and Highways-Mimaropa (Mindoro Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) who was among those with warrants of arrest issued by the Sandiganbayan, at his house in Quezon City.
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has assured that there will be no special treatment for the six DPWH-MIMAROPA officials implicated in irregularities in the ₱289.5 million flood control project in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro contracted by Sunwest Inc.
